Tim Neely is the author and/or editor of 31 books, including Hooping It Up: The Complete History of Notre Dame Basketball and the first six editions of the Goldmine Standard Catalog of American Records.
A lover of Christmas music since childhood, Neely also is the author of the 1997 Goldmine Christmas Record Price Guide, and for many years served as a judge in the Seasonal Music category of the Indie Awards, formerly given by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors (NAIRD) as the independent label equivalent to the Grammys.
He was born in Pennsylvania and also lived in Indiana and Wisconsin before moving to Virginia in 2013.
